Joan C. (McSorley) Murray, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Dennett Road Nursing Home.
Born August 4, 1930 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Paul and Ella Regina (Smithmyer) McSorley. Joan was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. Murray and son, Stephen A. Murray.
Joan was retired from C & P Telephone Company.
Surviving are: four sons, James M. Murray, Thomas P. Murray, Dennis D. Murray and Allen (A.J.) Murray, all of Oakland; sister, Margie Amato, Tyrone, PA, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, Friday, February 11, 2011 from 2 -4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011, 11 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
