Jimmy Barkley

Jimmy Lee Barkley, 41, of Oakland died on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in a senseless act of violence. Born on December 25, 1979, in Oakland, he was the son of LaDonna Rae Poling and stepson of Andrew Poling, both of Herington, KS.
Jimmy attended Phillip Barbour High School. He loved his son, family and spending time with his friends as well. He was an avid fisherman and a lifelong, dedicated fan of the Steelers.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his son, Kendon Lee Barkley; his siblings, Jennifer Gates of Oakland, Casey Butler of Alta Vista, KS, Trevor Poling of Salina, KS, Logan Poling of Herington, KS and grandparents, Bill and June Peterman of PA.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 5 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 11 AM.
