Jerry Paugh

Jerry L. Paugh, 63, of Elk Garden, WV died on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Western Maryland Health System in Cumberland. Born on March 8, 1951 in Oakmont, WV, he was the son of the late William B. and Marcella E. (Rhodes) Paugh. He was Pentecostal by faith and had worked in landscaping. Jerry enjoyed spending his time working on lawn equipment and was known to lend a helping hand no matter who was in need. He is survived by his brother, Albert Paugh of Elk Garden; special nephew, Richard Harrison of Elk Garden; sister, Linda L. Koontz of Littlestown, PA; nieces and nephews, Anna McRobie and husband Dale of Elk Garden, Debbie Smith of Keyser, Swisher V. Smith, Jr. and wife Brenda of Keyser, Lisa Kay Paugh of Baltimore, Stephanie Ann Paugh of Elk Garden, Christina Y. Paugh of Keyser, Georgeann Wolfe of Littlestown, PA, Tammy Sue Koontz of VA, Donald Koontz, Jr. of PA and Tommy Paugh of PA; and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Beryl Paugh; a sister, Mary C. Paugh Smith; and a great-nephew, Stephen E. Miller. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Saturday, August 2nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and at the House of Prayer, Elk Garden on Sunday, August 3rd from 1 to 2 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Leslie Hipp officiating. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden.
