Jennette Steyer

Jennette Belle Steyer, 85, of Oakland died on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at her home. Born on September 21, 1928 at home on Bethlehem Road, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. and Hallie (Fulmer) Moon. She was a member of the Loch Lynn Church of God and was a devoted member of the church's Thursday Prayer Group. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed gardening, baking and decorating cakes, and praising the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward E. Steyer; two sons, Larry E. Steyer and wife Karen of Oakland and Steven R. Steyer of Accident and former wife Barb Steyer of Mt. Lake Park; grandchildren, Judy A. Steyer, Katie M. Steyer, James E. Steyer and girlfriend Stephanie Henline, Chad E. Steyer and girlfriend Tina Dewitt and Cara L. Keller and husband Luke; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Garrett, Caitlyn Steyer, Nevin Steyer, Hannah Everett, Brianna Steyer, Logan Steyer, Dustin Keller, Jordan Clary, Samantha Keller, Connor Clary and Mason Keller; and siblings, Luther Moon and wife Marge, George Moon and wife Eleanor and Anna Burrell and husband Andy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Earl A. Moon, Clifford Lloyd Moon and Ralph M. Moon. Friends will be received at the Loch Lynn Church of God, Gorman Road, on Wednesday, February 12th from 11 AM to 1 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Ivan Ackerman officiating. Interment will be in the White Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, PO Box 378, Oakland, MD 21550 or Loch Lynn Church of God, PO Box 2027, Mt. Lake Park, MD 21550. The Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland is handling the arrangements.
