Jeannette Lane

Jeannette Joy Lane, 70, of Oakland died on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Dennett Road Manor. Born on June 27, 1947, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Thelma (Hoffman) Waddell. She was a loving mother and was known as "Mama Joy", a mother to many. Her home and heart were always open to anyone in need. Joy was also an animal lover and will be remembered for her gracious and loving spirit. She is survived by three children, Rachel Joy Dudok and husband Nicholas of Swanton, Andrew Gavin Lane and wife Megynn of Sellersville, PA, and Jonathan Camden Lane and wife Mary of Metarie, LA; and six grandchildren, Gavin, Baileigh, Spencer, Sam, Jackson and Benjamin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Welton Lane. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 4 PM in the hall at the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department.  In lieu of flowers, Joy's family requests that memorial donations be made to Cindy's Fund, PO Box 182, Oakland, MD 21550.
