Jason Friend

Jason Glenn Friend, 41, of Oakland died on Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Oakland.  Born on August 1, 1976, in Cumberland, he was the son of Sharon G. Tasker and Frederick J. Tasker of Oakland and Mary Alice Friend of Oakland and the late Russell G. Friend.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Joy L. (Sisler) Friend; children, Teroy Friend, Victoria “Tori” Tichinel, Tabitha “Tabbie” Friend and Jenna Friend; step daughters, Christy, Alayna and Leah Beckman; two grandsons, Ezra Large and Elias Folk; a step brother, Jason Tasker of Bruceton Mills, WV; step sister, Anya Gnoffo of Fredericksburg, VA; and a niece, Sophia DeWitt.  In addition to his father, Russell, he was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron DeWitt.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, March 12th from 3 to 7 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the Deep Creek Baptist Church, 19841 Garrett Hwy, Oakland on Tuesday, March 13th at 11 AM with Pastor Jon Zeigler officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sang Run Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family.
