Janice DeSpain Collins, 67, of Canaan Valley, West Virginia passed away May 26, 2020 at Cortland Acres in Thomas, West Virginia. She was born July 11, 1952 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, a daughter to the late William Alby DeSpain and Selma Earl Wright DeSpain.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Daniel Collins, whom she married on July 3, 1980. Also surviving is two nephews, William Shannon DeSpain and Raymond Stacy DeSpain and one niece, Stephanie Jarman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Raymond DeSpain.
Mrs. Collins was a 1970 graduate of Milton, FL High School. Over the years, she worked at Mountain Top Convenience Store, Highlander Village, and at Joe's Italian Supper Club. She was a licensed real estate agent and worked for Century 21 as well. Janice enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her favorite place to travel was to the beach. Anyone who knew Janice, knew she had a special place in her heart for her dogs.
