James Robert Rollman, 93, of Mt. Lake Park died on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his home. Born on April 11, 1920 in Thomas, WV, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Gross) Rollman. He attended Oakland High School and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He had also been a lineman for the Potomac Edison Company and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Deer Park and Woodmen of the World. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed camping at Deep Creek, plowing snow and visiting with his friends at McDonald's in Oakland every morning. He is survived by two children, Robert Rollman and wife Nancy and Leigh Ann Jamison, all of Mt. Lake Park; grandchildren, Jennifer Sivits and husband Russ, Brian Rollman and wife Misty, Kristen White and husband Ryan, Sean Rollman, Kaitlyn Lewis and husband Randall and Jordan Jamison; and great grandchildren, Rachel Sivits, Nathan Sivits, Robbie Rollman, Emma Rollman, Esme Lewis and Abigail Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Friend) Rollman, in 1990; a daughter, Betty Jean Barrick; a sister, Rosemary Burdock; and a brother, John Rollman. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Saturday, March 22nd from 2 to 4 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Dr. Chip Lee officiating. Private interment will take place in the Deer Park Cemetery.
