James Erwin Reckart, 83, of Mt. Lake Park died on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. Born on March 10, 1932 in Booth, WV, he was the son of the late Theodore Milton and Delia Mae (Uphold) Reckart. He was a poultry farmer for most of his life. He loved gardening and was known as a hard worker. He was a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge #2481, American Legion, Proctor Kildow Post #70, Rotary Club of Oakland, WV Poultry Association and Woodman of the World. He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Holston of Baltimore and Rebecca Lynn Glotfelty and husband Gene of Oakland; a son, James Milton Reckart of Oakland; grandchildren, Melanie Holston, Raymond Holston, Frederick Glotfelty, Scott Glotfelty, Jennifer Reckart and Brian Reckart; a great grandchildren, Danielle Suter, Ward Taylor, Curtis Sachs, Savanah Taylor, Jacob Holston, Joshua Holston, Austin Glotfelty, Nicholas Glotfelty, Jonas Glotfelty, Van Glotfelty, Jasmine Reckart and Jaden Reckart; a great great grandchild, Joscelyn Suter; a brother, Norman Reckart and a sister, Norma Wilt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian June (Foley) Reckart; a brother, Kenneth Reckart; a granddaughter, Shelly Lynn Leighton-Taylor and son-in-law, Raymond Holston, Jr. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St, Oakland on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Barbara Rexroad and Rev.
