James Thomas McRobie, 59, of Oakland, died on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on June 21, 1958 in Oakland, he was the son of the late James and Nina (Foster) McRobie. James attended Southern High School and worked as an auto mechanic at Hutton Auto until his retirement. His hobbies included ham radio, where he was known as "N3IZB" which he replaced with his father's handle "K3TYW" in later years and fishing for black crappie. James is survived by his bride of 13 years, Pamela (Lewis) McRobie; children, Tony McRobie and wife Shell of Oakland, Kenny McRobie and wife Jess, Randall Lewis and wife Chrissy, Carrie Stephens, all of Terra Alta, and Jayden McRobie of Oakland; grandchildren, Grace, Logan, Emma, Megan, Brycen, Amanda, Esme, Abby, Mason, Samantha, Dustin, Kaylee, Sophia, Leeland and Landon; siblings, Martha White and Stan McRobie of Oakland and Beth Joseph of Gettysburg; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 9AM with Pastor Russell Liller officiating. Interment will be in Keefer Cemetery.
