Hubert "Tom" Armstrong

Hubert "Tom" A. Armstrong, 81, of Kitzmiller, passed away at his home on January 11, 2024. Born on April 29, 1942, in Vindex, he was the son of the late Frederick Orville Armstrong and Emma Pearl (Stewart) Conn.

After graduating from Southern High School, Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and being outdoors. He was an avid fan of Southern High School Sports, the Cleveland Browns, and the Baltimore Ravens. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Richard Thomas Armstrong, Rodney Lee Armstrong and wife Maxine, and Connie Lynn Stewart and husband Adam Menear; five grandchildren, Jessica Armstrong, Tommy Armstrong, Alexis Dedek and husband Cory, Mehgan Armstrong, and Shane Menear; multiple great grandchildren; two siblings, Darlene Armstrong and Margie Tusing; and a sister in law, Chandra Delaney and husband John.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Sharon (Davis) Armstrong; and seven siblings.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD 21538. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM with Pastor Ivan Ackerman officiating. Interment will be privately held in the IOOF Cemetery, Nethkin Hill.
