Hestell Harvey

Hestell Elizabeth "Stella" Harvey, 89, of Kitzmiller died on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home in Oakland. Born on September 13, 1924 in Shallmar, she was the daughter of the late William Hobert and Nettie (Evans) Lucas. She had been a member of the Hiway Assembly of God Church in Kitzmiller. Stella was known for constantly thinking of others and faithfully sending cards to her friends and family. She loved and greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, James Hobart Harvey and wife Donna of Kitzmiller and Thomas Charles Harvey and wife Sharon of Cross, WV; four grandchildren, James H. Harvey, Jamie L. Riggleman and husband Bryan, Kristy D. Harvey and Nicholas C. Harvey; eight great grandchildren, Brittany, Travis, Meghan, Chelsea, Ashlynn, Kailee, Carmyn and Jayden; and a number of dear nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Emmitt Harvey, in 1968; an infant son, Loren Ray Harvey; infant daughter, Kelly Jean Harvey; a brother, William Lucas; and a sister, Irene Stewart. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Monday, April 7th from 3 to 6 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastors Joe and Rodney Tichinel officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Harvey-Wilson Cemetery.
