Helen Louise Gay, 67 of Mt. Lake Park MD, passed away at her residence on Saturday June 26, 2010. Born March 31, 1943 in Oakland, MD she was the daughter of the late Walter and Rachel Beckman. A son, William L Gay also preceded her in death. Brothers, Earl Beckman, Max Beckman, Ralph Beckman, Fred Beckman, Robert Beckman and sister Harriet DeBerry are also deceased.
Helen is survived by one daughter Louise Shiflett of Oakland. 3 Sisters, Margaret Mowbray, Alexandria, Va. Ruth St. Clair, Roanoke, Va. Elva Cole, Liberty Twp. Ohio and brothers, George Beckman, Oakland, William Beckman, Villa Rica, Ga., Claude Beckman Mt. Lake Park and Walter Beckman Jr. Camarillo, CA. Also surviving are 3 Grandchildren, William, Sarah and Patrick Shiflett. There are also 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Greatgreatgrandchild.
Helen attended the Faith Evangelical Church for many years and and also went to the Mt. Glade Day Care Center.
Friends will be received Monday June 28, 2010 at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home P.A. 21 N 2nd St. Oakland, MD from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 at 11a.m. in the Loch Lynn Church of God with the Rev. Ivan Ackerman officiating
Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
