Harry Charles Donaldson, 55, passed away in the early morning of September 1, 2019, peacefully, with his parents by his side and in the presence of a very loving God. Harry was born on January 11, 1964, in Barton, MD, to Tim and Judy Donaldson (nee Lashbaugh). After graduating from Valley High School in 1982, Harry went on to major in Reclamation Engineering at Frostburg State College and would spend the majority of his professional career working in the mining and quarry industry, an enduring passion he developed early in his life. Always blessed, Harry had the methodical mind of an engineer, a beautiful and creative soul, a tremendous heart that was always open, kind and generous, and an enduring gracefulness. Accomplished and successful, his greatest and proudest achievement, above all else, is his three beautiful children and perfect grandson. Harry is survived by his parents, Tim and Judy, Lonaconing, MD; daughter Annie Donaldson Barclay (Matthew), Morgantown,WV; son, Brady Matthew Donaldson (Hannah), Deep Creek, MD; daughter, Abigail Grace Donaldson, at home; and grandson, Michael Olen Barclay, Morgantown, WV. He also leaves behind his sister Catherine A. Riley (John), Cumberland; nephews Justin M. Winner (Stephanie), Lonaconing, and Jack Henry Riley, Washington, DC; great niece Macie Kate Winner and great nephew Jesup Porter Winner, both of Lonaconing; paternal uncle Charlie Cook (JoAnn), Medina, OH; and a lifetime of many, many great friends. A Memorial Service is being held on Saturday, September 14, 2019, 11 am, at the Wilhem Recreation Complex, 4764 Avilton-Lonaconing Road, Lonaconing, MD. Rev. Frankie A. Revell, LaVale United Methodist Church will be officiating.The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the following for their compassion and care of our beautiful Harry: WMHS Schwab Family Cancer Center, Dr. Q. Zaman, Dr. Scott Watkins, Dr. Tom Ghobrial and Dr. F. Ashker; WMHS 7 South; and Egle Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Per his wishes, Harry donated his physical body to medical research in hopes of helping others suffering from Urothelial Carcinoma.
