Harry Gaither

Harry Allen Gaither, 70, of Bayard, WV, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at his home. Born on April 10, 1953, in Fort Campbell, KY, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Cora Alice (Cosner) Gaither.
He was a 1971 graduate of Union High School and a Union Coal Miner for 39 years. He was also a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church, the Mt. Top Hunting Club and Beechwood Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He especially loved watching his grandkids play sports and the time he spent taking them hunting. 
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Trudy (Overton) Gaither; his children, Carrie Slaubaugh and husband James, Jessica Gaither and Jesse Jones, and Noah Gaither; his grandchildren, Trevor Kitzmiller, Cole Kitzmiller, Hunter Gaither, Candace Slaubaugh, and Chanda Gaither; his sister, Peggy Riggleman and husband Randy; nephews, Zach Riggleman and wife Candice, and Isaac Riggleman and wife Cecalie; great nieces and nephews, Jaxon and Sutter Riggleman, and Jackie and Cora Jo Riggleman; and his faithful dog, Charlie.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Bayard United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11 AM with Pastor Christine Kuhn, and Tim and Paula Thomas, officiating. Interment will follow in the Bayard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bayard United Methodist Church.
