Harold Hawk

Harold Eugene Hawk, 78, of Elk Garden, WV, passed away, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born October 29, 1932 in Mt. Storm, WV, he was the son of the late Dewey and Nellie (Cosner) Hawk. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Adeline G. Hawk and sister, Dorothy Hoeik.
Harold was a miner for over sixty years, having worked for Island Creek Coal Company and North Branch. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Association.
Surviving are: sons: Loren Hawk & wife, Sandra, John Hawk & wife, Brenda, both of Kitzmiller, MD; daughters, Jeannie Browning & husband, Robert, Oakland, MD, Carol Ashby & husband, Tom, Melissa Bradey & husband Jeff, all from Kizmiller, MD, Bobbi Jo Hanlin & husband Rick, Elk Garden; brothers, Loren Hawk, Jerry Hawk, Jake Hawk all from Mt. Storm and Larry Hawk, Grafton, WV; sisters, Ruth Janoski, Oakland, Sylvia Flayter, Fairmont, WV and Sandra Hawk, Virginia, Sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD, Saturday, November 20, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Hi-Way Assembly of God Church with the Rev. John Friend officiating.
Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
