Harless H. Boone, 80, of Aurora, WV died on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born on December 28, 1931 in Morgantown, the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Stump) Nutt. Harless was a retired Boiler Maker working out of Charleston Local #667. He served in the Army & Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of Mt. Top Hunting Club and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing, but most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Freda R. (Bowser) Boone; two daughters, Debra McCartney and husband Randy of Oakland and Sharon Riley and husband Will of Oakland; three sons, Daniel H. Boone, Sr. and wife Penny of Terra Alta, Tracy Boone and wife Melanie of Oakland; Robert Boone and wife Crystal of Eglon; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Linda Kendall of Mt. Morris, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother and stepfather, he was preceded in death by a grandson, John Boone and two brothers, Virgil and Franklin Boone. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St, Oakland on Thursday, August 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 24th in the funeral home with Rev. Regina Beard officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
