Hallie Shillingburg

Hallie Margaret (Mayhew) Shillingburg, 96, of Elk Garden, died peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Heartland of Keyser. Born July 24, 1915 in Elk Garden, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Marion (Rotruck) Mayhew. She was the last surviving member of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter; her brothers and sisters, a grandson and a great grandson. Hallie was a lifetime member of the Petersburg VFW Post 6454 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker who loved to make homemade bread and pies. She is survived by four sons, Bob Shillingburg, AZ, Junior "JR" Shillingburg, Elk Garden, Donald Shillingburg and wife Bonita, Princeton, WV, and Kenny Shillingburg and wife Lyndol, Elk Garden; a daughter, Carol Hart and Roger Bowen, Westminster, MD; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD on Monday, March 12th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Elk Garden Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, March 13 at 2 PM with the Rev. Joe Tichinel and Rev. Don Marple officiating. Interment will follow in Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Hallie to the Elk Garden Assembly of God Church, Center St., Elk Garden, WV 26717.
