Gregory Sines

Gregory Steven Sines, Sr., 47, of Oakland passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born September 11, 1964 in Oakland, he was the son of Mabel (Bowman) Sines of Crellin and the late Woodrow T. Sines.
Greg was a self-employed truck driver who drove for Mercer Transportation of Louisville, KY, a US Army veteran, and member of the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post 71 of Oakland.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Susan "Sue" (Mousch) Sines of Oakland; a son, Gregory Steven Sines, Jr. of Everett, WA; two step-daughters, Terri L. McRobie and husband Adam of Kingwood, WV and Ashley E. Crosby at home; seven sisters, Kay Carlson and husband Harland of Oakland, Wendy Beck and husband Dave of Pocomoke City, MD, Valerie Daris and husband Dan of Campbell, OH, Jayne Frazee and husband Ralph (Buck) of Bruceton Mills, WV, Kathy Reel and husband Jesse of Oakland, Peggy Miller and husband Ron of Bellview, OH, and Harla "Sue" Wilhelm and husband John of Cranesville, WV; five brothers, Tom Sines and wife Linda of Stevensville, MD, Larry Sines and companion Samantha of Loch Lynn, Bob Sines and companion Wanda of Friendsville, John Sines and wife Crystal of Oakland, Dale Sines and wife Brenda of Mt. Lake Park; and numerous nieces and nephews. Greg was very appreciative of his many friends and enjoyed many outdoor activities such as four-wheeling and motorcycle riding. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, March 21st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, March 22nd at 1 PM with Rev. Don Matthews officiating.
Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post 71 and the Deer Park VFW Post 10077. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
