Gloria May(Torrey) Blossom Breedlove, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, 73, of Oakland, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Dennett Road Nursing Home. Born on September 8, 1943 in Newfields, NH, she was the daughter of the late Norman Clyde and Bertha May (Bradford) Torrey. Gloria attended school in Exeter, NH. She worked in the food service and hospitality industry all of her life working as a waitress, cook and hostess. Gloria was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, #1395 in Terra Alta where she served as a past regent. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman with a passion for life, her children, grandchildren and babies. When she smiled, she lit up the room. Gloria was the life of the party. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She had a big heart and was always so helpful. Gloria had a very creative spirit. Her hobbies included sewing, pottery, ceramics, knitting, needle point and crocheting. She will be sadly missed. Gloria is survived by her husband of 35 years, Brian K. Breedlove; five children, Steven Thomas Blossom and partner Jane Attina of Chardon, OH, Christine Robin Blossom of Manchester, NH, Richard Herbert Blossom of Mountain Lake Park, Catherine May Harsh and husband Doyle of Eglon, WV and Michele Ann Knotts of Mountain Lake Park; grandchildren, Bree Ann, Randy, Tim, Woody, Samantha, Mary, Sidney, Sabrina, Jackie and Sheri; and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl Gordon Blossom; a grandson, Kurtis Allen Blossom; and a sister, Joyce Heath. In accordance with Gloria's wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, Oakland, MD. Memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's name to Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
