Born on June 22, 1922 in Sulphur City,WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Stella V. (Liller) Brown. She was a graduate of Elk Garden High School in Elk Garden, WV and attended Potomac State College in Keyser, WV. Her childhood and younger years were spent in Sulpur City and, after her marriage to Dan, she lived the remainder of her life on the farm located in Short Run near Kitzmiller. Many of Diana's classmates will remember Blondie being active in school functions at both the Kitzmiller Elementary School and Southern Garrett County High School. There are those who may recall her as the "Egg Lady" as she delivered fresh eggs, house to house in Kitzmiller. Those who voted in Kitzmiller area also saw her at election time, as she served for several decades. In later years, she worked at Youthland in Oakland and helped to outfit hundreds of babies and children in the area. She loved to garden, both flower and vegetable, and canned and cooked her whole life. As a small child, she stood on a chair and sang in church and continued singing in a quartet at churches in the area. Upon becoming a resident of Dennett Road Manor, she made many new friends and enjoyed activities as long as she was able. She lived a long, full life and was able to watch her grandchildren become adults and had the opportunity to enjoy her three great grandchildren. She will be missed. She is survived by her daughter, Diana V. Cropp and husband Richard of Kitzmiller; grandson, Aaron D. Cropp and wife Christine of Ashburn, VA; granddaughter, Tamara S. Fridley and husband Chad of Mt. Storm, WV; three great grandchildren, Alexis, Wyatt and Samantha Fridley; and extended family and friends too numerous to mention. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Wilson; a brother, Dr. Melvin L. Brown; and a sister in law, Mary Blackburn Brown. Family and friends will be at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Tuesday, December 29th from 12 to 2 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Matthew A. Paugh officiating. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
