Glenn Wilson

Glenn L. Wilson, 62, of Gormania, WV, passed away December 13, 2024, at his home. Born on June 9, 1962, in Philippi, WV, he was the son of Janet M. (Poling) Wilson and the late Gale E. Wilson.

Glenn was a 1980 graduate of Union High School. After graduation, he obtained his CDL and electrician license. He was a truck driver for H&P Trucking, worked at Island Creek Coal and for the last 28 years he was with Rohmac Inc. He attened Loch Lynn Church of God and Calvary Tabernacle. He was a member of the Mountain Top Hunting Club. Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest pastime was talking with friends and strangers alike; he never knew a stranger and was a friend to everyone. He enjoyed sharing his love of wood working with all who knew him. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by the love of his life and wife of 31 years, Tammy L. (DeWitt) Wilson; his daughter, Ashley Paugh and husband Dylan of Newburg, WV; one grandson, Dakota G Paugh; one sister, Glenda L. Stahl of Gormania, WV; one nephew, Chris Stahl, wife Katie, and two sons, Luke and Timothy of Noblesville, IN. Also, the love of his many extended family members.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melonie.

Friends will be received at the Loch Lynn Church of God, 8649 Gorman Rd., Oakland, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the church on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11 AM with Pastor Ivan Ackerman, Pastor Cindy Ackerman, and Pastor Pascal Crites officiating. Interment will follow in the Bayard Cemetery.
