Glenn Lloyd

Glenn Austin "Zip" Lloyd Sr., 83 of Mt. Storm, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.

Born December 19, 1927 in Gormania, WV, he was the son of the late Frank B. & Hattie Victoria (Minnick) Lloyd. He was also preceded in death by his first wife-Nellie Mae (Poling) Lloyd; one brother-Harry E. Lloyd and three sisters-Margaret Evans, Thelma Kesner and Claretta J. Ridder. "Zip" was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Glenn was employed for 20 years with B&O Railroad, retired from Buffalo Coal Company and Allegany Wood Products. He was also a past member of Bayard Volunteer Fire Company and Gorman Volunteer Fire Company.

Surviving are: wife-Deloris (Hawk) Lloyd; two daughters-Linda Carol (Lloyd) Skeweris and husband, Gary, Oakland, MD and Rebecca Jane (Lloyd) Paugh and husband, Robert Sr., Kitzmiller, MD; one son-Glenn "Butch" Austin Lloyd, Jr. and wife, Melanie, Bayard, WV; two step-sons-Gene Hawk and wife, Vicki and John Martin and wife Sandy, both of Mt. Storm, WV; ten grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N.A. 2nd St, Oakland, MD, Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Friday, August 19, 2011 with the Rev. David Moon and Sam Moon officiating.

Interment will be in the Bayard Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Mt. Storm Volunteer Fire Department or Gorman Volunteer Fire Department.
