Glenn Ira Borden, 71, passed away on April 18, 2024, in Thomas, WV. He was born in Neptune, NJ, on December 25, 1952, to the late Herbert and Manya (Levinson) Borden and was the beloved older brother of Mitchell Borden.

Glenn's life was marked by his extraordinary talent as a musician, specializing in the fiddle and mandolin. He was widely recognized in New Jersey and New York for his exceptional skills as a sideman musician, known for his captivating performances and vibrant singing. He and his brother Mitchell shared a deep passion for music, inheriting their musical gifts from their father.

During the 1960s, '70s, and '80s, Glenn's musical journey led him to collaborate and perform with renowned artists in central New Jersey, including Merce Ridgway and his popular country band Silk and Steel, among others. He loved playing at porch pickin' parties with friends and performing at Albert's Hall in Waretown, NJ.

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Miriam, and her husband Rowan; Glenn's grandson, Thain Abraham;and Glenn's brother, Mitchell; and extended family.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Cortland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas, WV, in memory of Glenn's legacy.
