Gladys Irene Hauser,91, of Aurora, WV died January 24, 2014 at Dennett Road Nursing Home in Oakland, MD.
She was born August 27, 1922 in Horse Shoe Run, WV a daughter of the late Wilbur Oliver and Bessie Florence Winters Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hauser, 3 brothers; Ralph, Cecil and Harold Evans and 2 sisters; Hilda Holland and Grace Harsh. Survivors include2 sons; Jerry (Barbara) Hauser and Rodney (Sherry) Hauser both of Oakland, MD, 1 brother; Wayne Evans, Oakland, MD, 2 sisters; Ruby Skinner, Oakland, MD and Nina Wallace, GA, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hauser was a Protestant by faith. She was baptized at the old Lutheran Church at Texas many years ago. She loved listening to gospel and bluegrass music. She was an avid WVU sports fan. She enjoyed farming, going to auctions and associating with people and especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Sunday January 26 at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Eglon, WV from 2-8 pm and from 10:00 am until 11:00am the funeral hour on Monday January 27, 2014. The Rev.
