Gilbert II

Gilbert Michael Bowman, II, 26, of Aurora, WV died on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident. Born on April 12, 1987 in Oakland, he was the son of Gilbert Michael I and Dawn Mechelle (Friend) Bowman. He was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Terra Alta and enjoyed hunting and working in his yard. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Amy (Parrack) Bowman; a daughter, Emilee Morgan Bowman; a son, Tucker Michael Bowman; a brother, Samuel Levi Bowman and wife Tiffany; grandparents, Betty Sue Bowman, Bud and Pauline Parrack, William Ray and Chris Livengood, and Linda Gail Stanton; father in law, Tim Parrack and wife Shelly; mother in law, Lisa Freeland and husband Gary; aunts and uncles, Sheila Piper, Tom and Laurel Parrack, and Tonya and Brian Beckman; cousins, Melody Piper, Ruby Belle Parrack, Henry Parrack, Zoie Beckman, Rayanna Beckman and Jordan Livengood; and numerous extended family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Gilbert Howard Bowman, Naomi Ruth Friend and Daniel Levi Friend; and an uncle, Barry Ray Livengood. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Saturday, November 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, November 24th at 1 PM with Rev. Theodore Bessey officiating. Interment will follow in the Glendale Cemetery.
