Gerald Bradley Lipscomb, 76, of Horse Shoe Run, WV died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on May 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Charles and Lona (Bolyard) Lipscomb. He worked as a union carpenter for Local 1024 and a beef farmer. He attended and was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Red House. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Almeda Mae (Hauser) Lipscomb; three daughters, Denise Ellen Reese Muenchow and husband Jeff of Oakland, Sandra Elaine Gibson and husband Steve of Clarksburg, WV, and Carol Annette Wilson and husband DJ of Oakland; son-in-law, Steve Reese; grandchildren, Sheena Reese DiSimone and husband Justin of FL, Bradley Reese of CO, Peyton and Kierra Wilson and Lucas and Mike Muenchow, all of Oakland; a sister, Dora Etta Vincent of Bruceton Mills, WV; three brothers, Lourain Lipscomb of Winchester, VA, Edward Lipscomb of Eglon, WV, and Tom Lipscomb of Charles Town, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, June 28th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, June 29th in St. John's Lutheran Church of Red House, MD from 10 to 11 AM at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Regina Beard officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Red House Memorial Fund in memory of Gerald Lipscomb, 3301 Garrett Highway, Oakland, MD 21550 or Union Rescue Squad, 23979 George Washington Highway, Aurora, WV 26705.
