George Savage

George Oscar Savage, 83, of Huntingtown, MD passed away at Calvert Health Medical Center on May 16, 2021. Born on June 15, 1937, in Mc Henry, MD, a son to the late Ott and Flora Savage.

George was a graduate of Northern High School. He served in the United States Army. After his service, he married his wife, Kathern Rosalie (Stewart) Savage in 1963. George continued working for the government through the Nation Security Agency, DOD at Fort Meade with top secret clearance, where he later retired from. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, and spending the day on the lake on his boat. He was an avid Redskins fan, often using the acronym, #HTTR! He had a special place in his heart for pets, especially his family’s dogs, Gunner and Foxy. Above all, George loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Savage is survived by his wife, Kathern Savage; one son, Kevin Savage and wife Jessica of Oakland, MD; one daughter, Kimberly Savage of Huntingtown, MD; five grandchildren, Brennen and Kinley Savage, Dylan, Kaitlyn and Jordyn Rayfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Murrell Savage.

Friends will be received at Loch Lynn Church of God, Friday, May 21, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Rev. John Skipper officiating. Interment will follow in the Nethken Hill Cemetery. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. is honored to be serving the Savage family.
