George Edward Kitzmiller, 68, of Gormania, WV, died on Friday, March 1, 2013 at his home. Born on August 6, 1944 in Mt. Storm, WV, he was the son on the late Orville H. and Audra V. (Hanlin) Kitzmiller. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting and gardening and was known as the "camp cook." He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Streets) Kitzmiller; a daughter, Georgina Burrell of Keyser, WV; three grandchildren, Joshua Ellixson, Zacherie Kitzmiller and Ayden Burrell, all of Keyser; a great grandchild, Nova Ellixson of Warner Robins, GA; three sisters, Dolores Kuhn of Mt. Storm, WV, Dianna Knotts and husband Peter, Jr. of Clarksville, TN and Regina Funk of Oakland; a brother, William Kitzmiller and wife Dorothy of Bayard, WV; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Kitzmiller. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, March 3rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4th at 11 AM in the House of Prayer Church, Hartmansville, WV with Rev. Leslie A. Hipp officiating. Interment will follow in the Kitzmiller Family Cemetery, Mt. Storm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the House of Prayer, Rt. 1, Box 90A, Elk Garden, WV 26717.
