Gary Knotts

Gary Luke Knotts, 72, of Gormania, WV died on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital of Oakland, MD. Born on July 2, 1942 in Benbush, WV, he was the son of the late Ervil and Ann (Gay) Knotts. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had been employed by Allegheny Wood Products as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by two daughters, Gale Wilt and husband Stephen of Masontown, WV and Yvonne Riley and husband Reece of Oakland; three grandsons, Richard Wilt and wife Patricia, Andy Wilt and wife Abbie and Danny Morris and wife Nichole; seven great grandchildren, Bailey, Ethan and Greer Wilt, Jameson Mayard, Bryson, Maddalynn and James Morris; a brother, Luther George "Tink" Knotts and wife Marion of Winchester, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Levada "Bobbie" Wilson Knotts, on May 4, 2010 and a sister, Peggy Knotts Murphy. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25 at 11AM in Bayard Cemetery, Bayard, WV with Rev. Marty Wilt officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the combined honor guard of the Deer Park V.F.W. Post # 10077 and the Oakland American Legion Proctor Kildow Post # 71. The family has entrusted the BURDOCK-FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., Oakland with his arrangements.
