Gage Welch

February 2, 1988 — September 26, 2011

Gage Thomas Welch died on September 26, 2011 at 2:40 p.m. in Frederick Memorial Hospital. Gage became unconscious from falling and remained in a coma for seven days. He was an organ donor and hopefully several people will benefit from his thoughtfulness. Gage had a wry sense of humor and made friends easily. He will be sorely missed especially by his grandparents, William and Patricia Welch with whom he lived for several years after the death of his father, Gary.

Born on February 2, 1988 to Gary Brent Welch and Lisa (Prouty) Welch.

Gage graduated from Southern High School in 2006. He played on the Southern Varsity Football Team while attending high school. After graduation Gage went to Frederick, MD to live with his aunt and uncle, Paula and Charles Stark. He worked in landscaping. He was a "hard scaper" and really liked his work. His co-workers and other friends are having a memorial service for him and intend to perhaps place a memorial in a garden near where he was presently working.

Surviving are: half-brother-Joey Snell & Wendy, his wife along with Eden & Samantha, their daughters of Shallmar, MD; uncles-William L. Welch, Richard C. Welch & partner Karon Schnabley of Oakland, Robert J. Welch & wife, Cindy, along with their children Blair & Ian of Cumberland, MD and aunt-Mary Ruth Prouty of Florida, Nicole and Reggie Ridder with Elizabeth their daughter of Walkersville, MD.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements by David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St, Oakland, MD
