Freda Ellen (Gilpin) Rexroad, 79, of Swanton died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at her daughter's home in Loch Lynn Heights. Born on November 26, 1932 in Grantsville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Carroll) Gilpin. Freda was a homemaker and had worked briefly at Cuppett and Weeks Nursing Home and Garrett Manufacturing, Inc. She was a member of the Swanton Otterbein United Methodist Church. She loved to quilt and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren playing games and camping. Freda is survived by her husband, George E. Rexroad whom she married on February 11, 1956; three daughters, Barbara Rexroad of Loch Lynn Heights, Debbie Bolyard of Swanton, and Vickie Bernard and husband Doug of Oakland; one son, Kenny Rexroad and wife Susan of Swanton; eight grandchildren, Jamie Bolyard, Scott Bolyard and wife Laura, Lisa Bernard and fiancAC. Chris Stover, Sarah Green and husband Eli, Adam Rexroad, Kari Bernard, Bethany Rexroad and Kevin Bernard; four great grandchildren, Ryan and Julie Bolyard, Luke and Owen Bolyard; one brother, Cecil Gilpin of Girard, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Bernard; two brothers, John Gilpin and Curtis Gilpin; and one sister, Frances Sweitzer. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, May 17th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18th at 11 AM in the Swanton Otterbein United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Hickman and Rev. Angie Cosner officiating. Interment will follow in George Cemetery, Swanton.
