Freda Iden

Freda L.Iden,87 of Penn Point Rd. Oakland, MD died Friday July 8, 2011 at the home of her daughter, Christina Hicks, Erie, Pa.
Born December 24, 1923, in Pierce, WV she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Lewis) Winters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vane B. Iden in 2006, a Grandson, Philip Boboshko and Great-grandson, Jaron Fulmer.
Freda was a homemaker, avid bowler, quilter and seamstress. She loved to cook and bake. She was a member of the Happy Face Travel Club and active in the Pioneers Auxillary.
Freda is survived by four children- Christina D. Hicks, Erie,Pa, Larry V. Iden and wife Dorian. McHenry, Md., Gary L. Iden and wife Sandy Mc Henry, Md and Andrea K. Martin and husband Sonny, Loch Lynn, MD She has a surviving sister Margaret J. Huntsman, Accident, Md. 11 Grandchildren, 25 Great-grandchildren and one Great-Great grandson.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home P.A. 21 N. 2nd St. Oakland, Md, on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with the Dr. Rev. Kevin Gooding officiating. Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland, Md.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice or an organization of your choice.
