Fred Eugene Johnson Jr., 80, of Thomas, West Virginia passed away January 1, 2018 at Cortland Acres in Thomas, West Virginia. He was born March 3, 1937 in Douglas, West Virginia a son of the late Fred Eugene Sr. and Ruth Long Johnson. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas A., Gail R., Dale D., and Harvey J. Johnson, and one sister, Winifred Gibbs.
He is survived by one brother, Robert "Cudge" Johnson, four sisters, Mildred L. Davis, Thomas, WV, Sharon R. Hancock, Lugoff, S.C., Elizabeth A. Kennedy, Fairmont, WV, and Margaret V. Fowler, Greenville, S.C., and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnson served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Odd Fellows. He enjoyed the holiday seasons, especially Christmas and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Hinkle Funeral Home from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday January 4, 2018 at Hinkle Funeral Chapel.
