Franklin Beckman

Franklin Theodore Beckman, 79 of Oakland, Maryland, passed away, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
Born May 5, 1931 in Sines, MD, he was the son of the late Lemmie and Edna (Shaffer) Beckman.
Franklin was the last surviving member of his immediate family, a life- long resident of Garrett County and a Veteran serving in the Army in the Korean War. He was a private contractor in the excavating business.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Mae (Flanigan) Beckman; sons, Roger Beckman of Deer Park and James Beckman of Chantilly, VA and two grandchildren, Matthew and Amber Beckman, Hyndman, PA.
Family and Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, Friday, November 26, 2010 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with the services following in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
