Frank Jones

Frank "Buddy" Jones, Jr., 82, of Elk Garden, WV died on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at his home. Born on July 18, 1930 in Elk Garden, he was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Edith Marie (Hickey) Jones. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served, during the Korean War, in Guam and Japan and achieved the rank of Sgt. 1st Class. Buddy retired as a supervisor from the West Virginia Department of Transportation after 31 years of service. He was known as the handyman who could fix anything and he greatly enjoyed hunting and camping with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of close to 55 years, Mary "Daisy" (Paugh) Jones; three sons, Timothy Jones, Sr., Edward Jones, Sr., and Rickey Jones; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenny, Paul and Joe Jones; a sister, Mildred Stewart; and numerous other dear family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alverda Welch and a brother, Ivory Lee Jones. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Monday, July 8th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 9th at 1 PM with Rev. John Friend officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will follow in Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden.
