Frank Fletcher

Frank Milton Fletcher, Jr., 81, Deer Park, MD, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his home.
Born February 13, 1930 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Frank M. Fletcher and Geneva M. (Seiders) Fletcher. He was also preceded in death by daughter-Virginia (Ginny) F. Rodeheaver; granddaughter-Alane Marie McCain; sisters-Dorothy F. Schwartz and Margaret Reid and brother-Winter J. Fletcher.
Frank was a truck driver for 49 years, drove for Associated Transport and Giant Foods, Inc. He was a member of Deer Park United Methodist Church. He loved golf, entertaining everyone with his magic tricks, going to Rendevous, making flintlock guns and woodworking.
Surviving are: wife-Carolyn B. Fletcher, Deer Park; mother of his children-Catherine M. Fletcher, Clinton, MD; daughter-Marilyn McCain and husband, Asa, Oakland, MD; two sons-Frank M. Fletcher, III, Upper Marlboro, MD and Tab W. Fletcher and wife, Teresa, Clinton, MD; one step-son-Joseph Fitzhugh and wife Martha, Frederick, MD; three granddaughters-Lori M. Taylor and husband Jeff, Charlotte, NC; Joy L. Ridenour and husband Brian, Huntersville, NC; Dawn L. Fletcher, Baltimore, MD and seven great-grandchildren-Jack, William and Nathan Taylor, Charlotte, NC; Samuel, Matthew, Benjamin and Rachel Ridenour, Huntersville, NC.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St, Oakland, MD; Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Barbara Rexrode officiating.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
