Flossie Conley

Flossie Alberta Conley, 93, of Oakland died on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on February 15, 1923 in Blaine, WV, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Jesse B. (Kirby) McCloud. She had attended the Mt. Top Assembly of God in Oakland. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed reading, sewing, baking, and, especially loved sending cards and letters. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Kight of Oakland and Sandra Moul and husband Bill of Terra Alta, WV; nine grandchildren; six step grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; and a daughter in law, Donna McCloud. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Leo Conley; two sons, John Wayne "Butch" McCloud and Ervin Randolph Conley; five brothers and five sisters. Flossie was the middle child and the last surviving of eleven children. Friends will be received at the Mt. Top Christian Assembly of God, 2655 Maryland Hwy., Oakland on Friday, November 4th from 10 to 11 AM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Cyndi Tichnell officiating. Interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
