Flora Godwin

Flora Elizabeth Godwin, 98, of Swanton died on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Dennett Road Manor. Born on August 28, 1923, in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Edith (Wright) Bernard.
She enjoyed many crafts, especially working with beads. She was a 50 year member of the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane MacDonald and Betsy Hardesty and husband Jim; a grandson who she helped raise, Mick Michaels and wife Heather; stepson, Clinton Godwin and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Jessica and husband Derik, Amy and husband DJ, Nicholas, Shawn, Brooklyn and husband Matt; and great grandchildren, Ricky, Mickaylee, Marlee, Kamy, Katy, Kayson and Payton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Godwin; a son, Marshall Godwin; grandsons, Brian and Shane Hardesty; son in law, Mike MacDonald; sister, Mabel "Tude" Shank; and brothers, Bill and Hurley Bernard.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM with Pastor Dave Cowan officiating. Interment will follow in the George Cemetery, Swanton.
