SERVICE INFORMATION UPDATE: A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11 AM in the IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Eva Marie Ellifritz, age 77, of McHenry, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her residence. Born on April 2, 1943 in Vindex, Maryland, she is the daughter of the late Ernest H. and Pansy Kent.
Eva was a graduate of Southern High School, Class of 1962. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. Many wonderful memories were made with her playing board games, tending to her flowers and collecting angels. Most recently, she was passionate about her wind chime collection. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Eva is survived by two daughters, Lisa Shahan and husband John, Fay Moats and husband Cyrus of Loch Lynn; a son, Glenn Ellifritz and fiancée Candace Torrey; grandchildren, Nicole Cress and husband Nick, Wilson Watring and fiancée Aubrey Hall, Grace Schultz and husband John, Tasha Reid and husband Willie, Dillion Ellifritz and wife Tiffany, Dalton Miller and fiancée Bobbyjo Baker, Haley Ellifritz, Justin Ellifritz, Tiffany Bittinger and husband Jess, Ryan Ellifritz and fiancée Michelle Knotts; great grandchildren, Nickolas Cress, Kristian Watring, Novalynn Schultz, Shyann Ellifritz, Maia Reid, Marcus Reid, Chris Legeer, Brentley Ellifritz, Blake Ellifritz, Noah Ellifritz, Braxton Miller, Taylor and Brooklyn Ellifritz and Waylon and Jada Sliger, Remington Ellifritz; siblings, Emory Kent, Edward Kent, Margaret Willard, Ernest "Ray" Kent and wife Delores Rogers.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Faye K. Ellifritz; and two sisters, Catherine Pennington and Joyce Lewis.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St, Oakland on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 11 AM with Pastor George Tichinel officiating. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, face coverings are required to be worn at all times and social distancing should be observed. If you or anyone in your family is feeling ill, we ask that you remain home and visit with the family at a later date. In honor of Eva’s life, the family is asking everyone to wear her favorite color pink. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Elk Garden at a later date.
