Ethel Hines

Ethel Fern (Lohr) Hines, 87, of Keyser, WV, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser. She was born on May 25, 1933, in Swanton, MD the daughter of the late Boyd F. and Ruth F. (Handwerk) Lohr. Ethel was a member of the Knobley Church of the Brethren. She had started work at an early age and many had different jobs from Kurt's Corner Store, Englander's and Gregg's Pharmacy to First United Bank. She ended her career as a dental assistant having worked for Dr. Jack Liller and Dr. Thomas. Ethel is survived by her companion of many years, William Warnick, of Keyser; one nephew; two nieces; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor "Pete" Hines, in 1997 and two brothers, William Carlton and Harold Franklin Lohr. A private service for family and close friends will be held at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. in Oakland with interment in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
