Erma Ruth Blamble, 71, formerly of Annandale, Virginia and most recently Aurora, West Virginia passed away at Garrett Regional Medical Center on May 25, 2020. She was born July 4, 1948 in Stemple Ridge, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Elwood Brown and Hazel Anna (Simmons) Blamble.
She is survived by one brother, Everett Blamble and wife Shirley, Stemple Ridge, West Virginia, one sister, Lucille Dodrill, Mosley, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Franklin, Ellis, Richard “Lee”, and Lewis Blamble.
Ms. Blamble was a 1966 graduate of Aurora High School. She retired in 2004 after working for the U.S. Government for over 54 years, including 37 years for the Secret Service as a Supervisor Budget Analytic. She loved spending time caring for her rose garden and relaxing while reading books. On sunny days, she enjoyed getting outside and taking walks. She took great pride in her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
The final months of Ms. Blamble’s life was spent in the Hills of West Virginia and was cared for by Terry and Jackie Blamble.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 30st, 2020 at Stemple Ridge Cemetery. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. We encourage our communities to share their memories and condolences to the family at www.hinklefennerfuneralhome.com
