Elva Head

Elva Jean Head, 90, of Oakland, MD died on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Dennett Road Manor. Born on July 3, 1927, in Blair County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hillary Edward Kelley and Mary Elizabeth (Maust) Kelley. She was a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, James Michael Head of Hedgesville, WV; three daughters-in-law, Rebecca Parsons, Gale Wilt and Gloria Hill; four grandchildren, Melissa Jean Rose, Carey Lynn Kight, Richard Cromwell Head Wilt and Brian Scott Head; four great grandchildren, Rachel Danielle Thomas, Nicholas Alexander Rose, Lauren Elizabeth Rose and Joshua Bradley Kight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Richard Head in 1973; three children, Daniel Richard Head and two infant children, Bryan Andrew Head and Molly Christine Head; four sisters, Ruth Kelley LeCrone, Dorothy Kelley Bowen, Helen Kelley Lower and Madge Kelley Crame; and three brothers, Frank "Buck" Kelley, George Edward Kelley and Donald Kelley. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, December 7th from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 8th at 11 AM with Pastor Kenny Fike officiating. Interment will follow in the Bayard Cemetery, WV.
