Elsie Kathleen Skipper, 86, of Oakland died on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on March 31, 1927 in Benbush, WV, she was the daughter of the late Darius Parker and Hallie (Kitzmiller) Jordan. She was a member of the New Life Christian Church in Oakland. Elsie will be remembered by her family and friends as always taking care of others and being a wonderful cook. She is survived by her loving husband, Gail Patrick "Pat" Skipper, whom she married on November 9, 1963; two sons, Tim Skipper and wife Vicki and Tom Skipper and wife Mary; a daughter in law, Marietta Jordan; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Cervi, Sherri Jordan-Lucas, Laura Bennett, Steven W. Skipper, Kayla Nazelrod, Jordan Skipper, Mikey Skipper, Nicole Skipper, Anisha Skipper and Torri Skipper; six great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Judy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Jordan, 2011; a sister, Mildred P. Smith; and two brothers, Elwood C. Jordan and Wayne E. Jordan. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, November 11th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 12th at 1 PM with Pastor Roger C. Kitzmiller officiating. Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
