Elmira Boyce

Elmira Elizabeth Boyce, 80, of Oakland died on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at her home. Born on June 2, 1936 in Madra, OR, she was the daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Dickensin) Edwards. She had worked in sales for Davidson Army Navy, Farmers Market, IGA, all in Oakland and Ames in Frostburg. She is survived three sons, Michael R. Boyce, Dwayne E. Boyce, both of Oakland and William E. Boyce of Romney, WV; one daughter, Carolin S. Martens of Uniontown, OH; grandchildren, Angie Lambka, Josh Boyce, Jonathan Martens and Britney Boyce; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Stepper and Rebecca Parker; two brothers, William and Les Edwards; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Earl "Shorty" Boyce; sisters, Mary, Wilma, Rose and Joyce; and an infant brother. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, February 25th at 11 AM. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME P.A., Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
