Ellen Niner

Ellen Morriss (Goss) Niner, 78, of Loch Lynn, died on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Born on September 7, 1938 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James Morris and Mary Josephine (Murphy) Goss. Ellen attended Southern High School. She was employed as a laborer in Webber's Greenhouse. Ellen had a beautiful, positive spirit and was the kindest soul. She was extremely loyal to her family and friends. She loved spending time with her loved ones playing cards, board games and putting together puzzles. Ellen is survived by her husband, William E. Niner of Loch Lynn; a daughter, Bessie Ann Shockey and significant other Jerry Kimmell of Deer Park; three granddaughters, Heather Bonner and significant other Candon Curry of Bayard, Rolanda Bonner and significant other Jack Fitzwater of Oakland and Maranda Jefferys and husband Benjamin of Terra Alta; great grandchildren, Amelia and Branson; a brother, Franklin "Bud" Goss and wife Claudia of Walkersville; a son-in-law, Skip Shockey; and a brother-in-law, Charles Corwell of Mt. Lake Park. In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by a grandson, Quincy Allen; and two sisters, Genevia Goss and Elizabeth (Goss) Corwell. Friends and family will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 5-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Russell Liller officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
