Ellen Lyons

Ellen Lorraine Lyons, 80, of Elk Garden, WV, passed away August 19, 2022, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on December 18, 1941, in Westernport, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Edward Sr., and Ethel Marie (Ashby) Bean.

Ellen was a graduate of Elk Garden High School. She worked for and retired from the Mineral County School Board as a Bus Driver. She was a member of the Highway Assembly of God Church. Ellen treasured being with her family and she enjoyed her beach trips with her sisters. She loved serving her Savior, Jesus Christ, and sending cards to people was her way of ministering to everyone.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Robert Lyons, Sr., to whom she was married on September 10, 1961; two sons, Johnny Lyons, and Steve Lyons and wife Connie; two daughters, Lisa Seaman and fiance Roland Williams and Cindy DaBiero and husband Joe; a daughter-in-law, Christie Lyons; a special "adopted son", Bill Lambka, who lovingly called her "Mommadoo; eight grandchildren, Nicole Fields and husband Kiki, Ron Husa and wife Melissa, Tommy Lyons and fiance Kylie Prevatte, Levi Lyons, Katie Seaman and fiance Joey Moyer, Joey DaBiero, Vinny DaBiero and Brady Lyons; great grandchildren, Chris, Jaden, Kiyan, Kirah, Cartiaire, Analyn, Carter, Emery, Jaxen, Brynalynn and Brysten; siblings, Eddie Bean and wife Betty, Tom Bean and wife Delores, Bob Bean and wife Alma, Margaret Butler and husband Homer, Eva Tasker and husband George, Bill Bean, Linda Radcliffe and husband Craig, Keith Bean and wife Debbie, David Bean and wife Margaret, Gail Haines and husband Robbie; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Bean, Wanda Baker, and Norma Ours and husband Kenny; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robbie Lyons, Jr., and a brother, Jake Bean.

Friends will be received on Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 6 to 8 PM at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St. Kitzmiller, MD 21538. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Elk Garden Assembly of God Church with Pastor Greg Moreland and Pastor Carroll Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider becoming an organ donor as Ellen was a liver recipient and it provided several more years of life for her.
