Ellen Anthony
January 8, 1926 — July 9, 2015
Ellen K. Anthony, 89, formerly of Bayard, WV died on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on January 8, 1926 in Terra Alta, WV, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus Truman and Ida (Simmons) Stahl. She was a faithful member of the Church of God in Bayard. In addition to spending time with her family, Ellen loved to quilt. She is survived by two daughters, Dottie Reall of Gormania, WV and Betty Pritt of Gassaway, WV; a son, Rudy "Pudge" Anthony of Fairview, WV; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Stahl of Virginia Beach, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Anthony; a daughter, Bonnie Bonner; an infant grandson; grandson, Rodney Jenkins; a sister, Betty Park; and brothers, Glen Stahl, Lee Stahl and Ronald Stahl. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, July 12th from 2 to 5 PM and at the Bayard Church of God on Monday, July 13th from 10 to 11 AM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor William McCallister and Pastor Phillip Marcum officiating. Interment will follow in the Bayard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Bayard Church of God, 99 Spruce St., Bayard, WV 26707.
