Elizabeth Mable Strawser,68 of Oakland, MD died Tuesday Feb.15, 2011 in the Western Md. Health System, Cumberland. Born June 15, 1942 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Elizabeth (Beranger) Chilcoat. Surviving is her husband Oscar Vernon Strawser,one son, Alvin Ray Strawser and wife Cheryl of Alton, Missouri, 2 daughters, Sandra Elaine Thrift and husband Stanley David Thrift of Grantsville and Clara Elizabeth Strawser, Columbus, Ga. Two brothers, Wayne Chilcoat and Jack Chilcoat both of Baltimore. Also surviving are 2 Grandchildren, Marlon George, Jr. and Jennifer George.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home 21 N 2nd St. Oakland, MD on Thursday Feb. 17, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday Feb. 18, 2011 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Mel Menker officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.
