Elizabeth Stewart

Elizabeth Jane Stewart, 96, of Thomas, WV passed away October 11, 2015 at her home. She was born November 2, 1918 in Clarington, OH a daughter of the late Casper Sanford and Lillian Elizabeth Callahan Kirkman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Moore Stewart, also preceding her in death, one sister, Helen Robinson and one grandson, Rocky Ferguson. She is survived by one son, Charles F. Stewart, Thomas, WV, one daughter, Carolyn Jean Ferguson, Easley, SC, one grandchild, Charlene Renee Nestor and two great-grandchildren, Alisha Winans and Adrian Nestor. Mrs. Stewart worked as a beautician. She enjoyed painting, art, and was very good at the game scrabble. She was a member of the Tucker County Senior Center who participated in Senior Olympics and often won medals. Friends will be received Monday, October 12, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Hinkle Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held, 10:00 AM, October 13, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Timothy Grassi as celebrant. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
